The estate was founded in 1930 when Daniele Venica purchased Ronco del Cero in the Dolegna district of Collio.
Ronco del Cerò is the name of the hill that Daniele Venica bought in 1929 and became his first site for Sauvignon Blanc. This wine is fermented on its lees entirely in stainless steel.
Pale lemon in color with aromas of grapefruit, lemon, tangerine, gooseberry, melon, honeysuckle, and stone minerality. The palate is dry with medium body and pronounced intensity on the finish. On the palette you detect notes of melon, pineapple, and kiwi before transitioning to a slightly savory finish.
Vinous
- v92+
Dusty, floral and sweetly satisfying, the 2021 Sauvignon Ronco del Cerò opens with incense and exotic spice, giving way to grapefruit and sour melon zests. This is deeply textural yet focused on purity, with cooling minerality and herbal-tinged orchard fruits motivated by zesty acidity. It leaves the cheeks puckered while tapering off with a twang of sour citrus offset by sweet chamomile. The Ronco del Cerò is so pretty today, yet the best is undoubtedly yet to come.

Candied orange zest, fresh wildflowers and crushed rock leap from the glass of this Sauvignon Blanc. Clean and fresh on the palate, the supertasty wine offers notes of mandarin orange, sweet lime and passion fruit balanced by well-defined minerality.
