The 2018 Chambolle-Musigny Les Baudes 1er Cru is noticeably darker in color than the Les Chabiots even though it includes more whole- bunch fruit, at 30%. It has a well-defined bouquet of black cherries, raspberry and wild strawberry fruit plus a touch of crushed stone. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red berry fruit, a fine bead of acidity and fine tension and elegance toward the finish. This is very well crafted.
