Amber with shades of copper and gold. Slightly fruity on the nose, with subtle aromas of cooked agave and toasted almonds. Smooth flavor with a hint of sweetness and notes of cooked agave, toasted almonds, cloves, and vanilla. The finish is soft and complex with pleasant aromatics and a balanced profile. Gran Centenario® Añejo is distilled from carefully selected blue agave and aged in new American oak, to achieve a 100% agave tequila of unparalleled smoothness and quality. ​ Established in 1857 by Lázaro Gallardo, Gran Centenario® Tequila remains a family-owned business and is still crafted in the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico at Ex Hacienda Los Camichines. The First Maestro Tequilero Lázaro Gallardo is claimed to be the first tequila master distiller (maestro tequilero) in history, as he created the Selección Suave process. By this process, he would only pick the richest, smoothest tequila and blend them together, creating a product with superior quality. This process is still in place while producing our tequila.
