Chateau Genot Boulanger Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2020
|France, Burgundy, Bourgogne
|Chateau Genot Boulanger
This vintage comes from a single plot located in the Pommard plain at a place called Les Noeuds. A 1.17 hectare plot planted with Pinot Noir in the 1960s, this vine rests on deep clay soils and is crossed by a limestone vein, allowing it to express crunchy fruit as well as a silky, coated structure.
The 2020 Bourgogne Rouge, which comes from the plain in Pommard, has a dark berry and seaweed-tinged bouquet. A little broody. The palate is medium-bodied with crunchy red and black fruit tinged with balsamic on the finish. Fine.
