A beautiful red and purple color with aromas of black cherries, dark fruits, dark chocolate and baker's spice. On the palate, the wine shows dense, dark berry and plum flavors along with hints of sandalwood and spice, and even a hint of violets in the finish. This is a full-bodied and well-structured wine that is incredibly full of life and born to be enjoyed with food and friends. It goes great with many foods, especially meat and barbeque. Unique recipe ideas include: Grilled Polenta with Wild Mushroom Ragout, Grilled Quail with Quinoa, Currant and Pine Nut Pilaf, or Wild Boar, Sage and Dried Cherry Risotto.

The 2022 Malbec La Posta Pizzella comes from Paraje Altamira in the Uco Valley and was 50% aged in oak barrels, a fifth new and the rest used, while the other 50% went into stainless steel tanks. Purple in the glass. The nose presents violet and fresh plums with subtle herbal aromas. The 2022 is indulgent and juicy, with somewhat chalky tannins contributing to a taut, mouthwatering mouthfeel. This is quintessential Altamira.

Fresh and inviting, with notes of grated nutmeg and dried rose petal joining a juicy core of pomegranate and plum on a suave frame. Finishes silky, echoing back to the floral- and spice-filled opening. Drink now. 20,000 cases made, 10,000 cases imported.

The wine's aromatic nose delivers raspberry and dried herbs. A ripe palate offers intense berry flavors followed by leafy notes. Good acidity and medium tannins support this full-bodied and enjoyable Malbec.
