A vibrant, medium-bodied Tuscan red wine valued for its balance of fresh red fruit and structural complexity. Often described as a more affordable alternative to Brunello, it is defined by its "freshness and tension".
Aroma: Scents of herbal red berries, licorice, and menthol, with floral undertones like violet.
Palate: Features flavors of sweet red fruit, cherry jam, and licorice, supported by a "spine" of refreshing acidity and elegant tannins.
Structure: A "fairly serious" style for a Rosso, it offers excellent structure and a vibrant, approachable profile.
Grape Blend: Primarily Sangiovese (90%), blended with local varieties such as Mammolo, Canaiolo, and Colorino (10%).
Aging: Fermented in cement vats with a 15-day maceration, then aged for roughly six months in small and medium-sized barrels, followed by at least three months in the bottle before release.
