A structured and highly-regarded Beaujolais Cru, often described as having a "Burgundian polish" due to its complexity and aging potential. The wine is aged for approximately 6 months, typically with a split of 85% in large oak tuns (foudres) and 15% in older oak barrels (1–4 years old). This cuvée is a blend from three distinct lieux-dits: Rochegrès (finesse), Roche Noire (liveliness), and La Rochelle (power).
Aromatics: The nose is intense and layered, featuring red currant, fresh red cherry, and black cherry, alongside floral notes of violet and peony.
Palate: It is medium to full-bodied with a sappy core of black fruit, silky tannins, and a distinct granitic minerality. You may also notice hints of liquorice, savory forest floor, and graphite.
Food Pairing Recommendation: This versatile wine pairs excellently with coq au vin, duck breast with cherries, or earthy mushroom risotto.
