A complex, historically significant red blend from the Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert region in the Languedoc, France. Often called the "Lafite of the Languedoc," this vintage is noted for its elegance and finesse rather than raw power, following a cooler and wetter growing season.
Flavor Profile: Expect aromas of black cherry, plum, and dried herbs (garrigue), with underlying notes of leather, pencil lead, and spice. It is medium-bodied with fine tannins and a "crunchy," long finish.
Grape Blend: A unique "kitchen sink" blend led by 84% Cabernet Sauvignon, supported by 5% Pinot Noir, 3% Merlot, and 2% each of Petit Verdot, Tannat, Cabernet Franc, and Dolcetto
