Premier Cru red wine from Burgundy, often described as the most "muscular" and structured of Barthod’s offerings due to its location just below the Grand Cru Bonnes-Mares. The vineyard sits on rockier red soil than other parcels in the village, which contributes to its more powerful, "Morey-Saint-Denis" style.
Aroma: Intense bouquet of black cherry, bilberry, crushed limestone, and light iris. Some reviewers also noted hints of plums, chocolate, and violet.
Palate: Well-balanced with saturated tannins and a "creamy" texture. It is characterized by its tension and fresh, long perfumed finish.
