Widely considered one of the greatest vintages ever produced by this historic Saint-Estèphe estate, frequently compared to legendary years like 1989 and 1990. It is a powerful, "masculine" wine known for its massive structure, deep concentration, and immense aging potential.
Nose: Intensely aromatic with notes of crème de cassis, blackberry liqueur, crushed violets, graphite, and hints of cedar, tobacco, and licorice.
Palate: Full-bodied and densely packed with dark fruit, mineral layers, and "muscular" tannins. It is noted for its "architectural" balance and extraordinary length.
Blend: 53% Cabernet Sauvignon, 37% Merlot, 9% Cabernet Franc, and 1% Petit Verdot.
