Widely considered one of the greatest modern vintages from this Saint-Estèphe estate, frequently described by critics as a "monument in the making". It is a powerful, Cabernet-dominant blend that has earned multiple 100-point scores for its precision, depth, and extraordinary aging potential.
Aromas: Deep and complex with notes of crème de cassis, graphite, damp earth, pencil shavings, and burning embers. Some critics also noted hints of wilted roses, oolong tea, and dark chocolate.
Palate: Full-bodied and muscular with a "huge mid-palate" and a solid backbone of ripe, grainy tannins. It is characterized by its intense concentration balanced by high freshness and vibrant acidity.
Finish: Exceptionally long, resonant, and energetic, often described as having a salty mineral edge.
Composition: A blend of 68% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, and 7% Cabernet Franc.
