Highly regarded red Bordeaux from the Saint-Estèphe appellation, currently classified as a Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel. This vintage is noted for its powerful tannins and generous fruit, marking it as a wine with significant potential for long-term aging.
Aroma: Features exuberant notes of crushed black cherries, cassis, and fresh blackberries, with subtle hints of cinnamon, wild sage, and cedar.
Palate: Medium to full-bodied with a "racy" backbone and mouth-filling layers of black fruit and earth. It displays the classic richness of Saint-Estèphe balanced by fresh acidity and powdery, fine-grained tannins.
Finish: Long and mineral, often revealing notes of licorice, cocoa, and orange peel
Grape Blend: 59% Merlot, 37% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Petit Verdot, and 1% Cabernet Franc.
Winemaking: Aged for 14–16 months in French oak barrels (approximately 30–40% new oak).
