Full-bodied Red Bordeaux Blend from the prestigious Pauillac appellation. Known for its opulence and "rock star" status in the 2018 vintage, it is a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Merlot, 9% Cabernet Franc, 3% Petit Verdot, and 1% Carménère.
Aromas: Intense scents of blackcurrants, blackberry compote, and black plums, layered with floral notes of violet and dried roses. Subtle hints of wild thyme, mint, licorice, and baking spices add complexity.
Palate: A dense, muscular texture with "chewy" or "silky" tannins. It offers savory layers of dark chocolate, iron, graphite, and smoked earth.
Finish: Long, balanced, and mineral-tinged with a refreshing touch of saline or mint.
Classification: Fifth Growth (Cinquième Grand Cru Classé in 1855).
Aging: Brought up in 50% new French oak.
