A premium flavored sake produced by the Izumo Fuji Brewery in Shimane, Japan. It is a blend of junmai sake and the juice of locally grown yuzu, a Japanese citrus fruit that tastes like a cross between a mandarin orange, Meyer lemon, and Key lime.
Nose: Zesty yuzu, fresh lemon, and floral sweetness.
Palate: Vibrant citrus notes over a smooth, silky sake base.
Brewery: Izumo Fuji, founded in 1939 and currently managed by the third generation of the Imaoka family.
Serving Suggestions: It is best enjoyed chilled, on the rocks, or with a splash of soda. It also works as a cocktail base or a substitute for limoncello/mimosas.
Food Pairings: Pairs well with sushi, sashimi, grilled seafood, spicy ramen, or light salads.
