A highly-rated 100% Sangiovese wine from the Castelnuovo dell'Abate subzone of Tuscany. Produced by Andrea Cortonesi, this vintage is noted for its freshness and lower alcohol levels despite a challenging growing season with reduced yields.
Aroma: Vibrant red cherry, wildflowers, wild herbs, and a touch of licorice.
Palate: A silky, medium-bodied entry featuring ripe wild berries and crushed black cherries balanced by a salty minerality and crisp acidity.
Finish: Outstanding length with gently tannic structure and a savory, persistent finish.
Sourcing: Fruit is selected from vineyards that qualify for Brunello di Montalcino designation.
Aging: Matured for 10 months in a combination of large Slavonian oak casks and French barriques, followed by at least 5 months of bottle aging before release.
