The latest release from the producer that originally invented the LBV category. Unlike Vintage Port, which ages primarily in the bottle, this LBV aged for four to six years in large oak vats and was released in 2025, making it ready to enjoy immediately without decanting.
Aromas: Intense blackcurrant, blackberry, and raspberry with undertones of wild herbs, liquorice, and coffee.
Palate: Full-bodied and "muscular" with firm, sinewy tannins and a long, powerful finish of woodland berries.
Pairing: Classic matches include blue cheeses like Stilton or Roquefort, as well as rich chocolate or berry-based desserts.
Longevity: Once opened, it can typically be served by the glass for several weeks.
