A classic Northern Rhône Syrah that has been highly praised by critics for its opulence and complexity in a warm vintage. This wine, formerly known as "Cuvée Classique," is a blend from 13 different parcels across the appellation, showcasing a quintessential Côte-Rôtie style.
Aroma: Intense perfume featuring violets, black cherries, black pepper, and hints of smoke and grilled meats.
Palate: Medium to full-bodied with a rich, powerful structure. You’ll find flavors of dark berries (blackberry, blueberry), olives, and spices like allspice and licorice.
Finish: Long and persistent with silky tannins and a touch of minerality or saline character.
Pairs exceptionally well with hearty dishes like lamb, cassoulet, grilled meats, and aged cheeses.
Winemaking: Uses approximately 75% to 100% whole-bunch fermentation (including stems) to enhance perfume and structure. It is aged for 18 months in a mix of 228-liter and 550-liter barrels, with very little new oak (around 10%) to preserve fruit purity.
