The 21st release of this iconic prestige cuvée, originally created in 1975 to honor the legendary British Prime Minister. Crafted to reflect Churchill's preference for robustness and maturity, this vintage is noted for being more approachable in its youth than previous years while maintaining significant aging potential.
Vintage Profile: The 2015 growing season was hot and dry, resulting in a "solar" style that is rich, ripe, and powerful.
Aroma: Complex nose featuring candied citrus, dried apricot, brioche, toasted hazelnuts, and hints of spice or menthol.
Palate: Full-bodied and generous with flavors of crème de cassis, lemon pastry cream, and a saline-chalk mineral core.
Finish: Exceptionally long with lingering notes of anise, toasted almond, and citrus zest.
The Blend: A closely guarded secret, though it is dominated by Pinot Noir for structure and breadth, supported by Chardonnay for elegance and finesse. All grapes are sourced from Grand Cru vineyards.
