A white Burgundy known for its tension and mineral-driven character. Crafted by Thierry Pillot, this Chardonnay comes from 45-year-old vines grown on limestone and deep clay soils. The vineyard sits directly below the famed 1er Cru Caillerets; the "Champs Gain" name refers to "reclaimed field". Thierry Pillot practices minimal intervention, fermenting in 350L and 500L barrels (only 10% new oak) for 12 months, followed by 6 months in stainless steel to preserve purity. Described as powerful and long with "searing acidity" and a rich, citrus-led profile.
