A premium white wine from the Coteaux du Giennois appellation in France's Loire Valley. A stylistic departure from leaner, "razor-edged" Sauvignon Blancs, it is known for its richer, more textured profile and complex savory character.
Sourced from limestone and flint (silex) soils near Saint-Père, a "satellite" appellation to Pouilly-Fumé.
Aroma: Layered notes of pureed apple, quince, clove, vanilla baking spice, brioche, toasted walnuts, and orange peel.
Palate: A creamy, fruit-forward mid-palate with an underlying spice character and a "cooling minerality".
