An iconic, complex white wine from the Languedoc region of France, often referred to as the "Grand Cru of the South". Known for its unusual blend and remarkable aging potential, the 2022 vintage is a rich, aromatic expression of the estate's unique glacial limestone terroir.
Nose: Exuberant aromas of apricot, white peach, jasmine, lemon balm, and wild herbs, with a hint of honey and tropical fruit.
Palate: Medium-bodied and harmonious with a velvety, waxy texture. It balances rich notes of dried mango and spices with a saline, mineral edge and fresh acidity.
Finish: Long and persistent, often showing secondary notes of marzipan or vanilla (despite limited or no oak use in modern vintages).
The wine is a field blend of several major and minor grape varieties:
Viognier (48%): Provides the dominant aromatic profile.
Petit Manseng (13%): Adds structure and acidity.
Chardonnay (13%): Contributes body and roundness.
Chenin Blanc (9%): Enhances freshness.
Rare Varieties (17%): A mix of approximately 15–20 other grapes, including Marsanne, Roussanne, Petit Courbu, Muscat, and Fiano.
Winemaking: 100% manual harvest; skin maceration for 5–7 days followed by fermentation and 4 months of maturing in stainless steel tanks to preserve fruit purity.
