An extraordinary vintage from the iconic Haro winery, released in March 2025. This vintage is highly significant as it follows a two-year gap where no Viña Ardanza was produced (2018) and a short harvest (2017), with winemakers comparing its quality to the legendary 2001, 2010, and 2015 years.
Flavor Profile: Expect a complex bouquet of spicy aromas (black pepper, clove, vanilla) layered with fresh red and black fruits like candied cherry and redcurrant. Critics note it is "spicy, structured, balanced, and powerful" with a modern, fruit-forward touch compared to previous years.
The Blend: A traditional mix of 80% Tempranillo (from Fuenmayor and Cenicero) and 20% Garnacha (from the Pedriza estate in Tudelilla).
Aging Process: The wine underwent extensive aging in American oak barrels manufactured by the winery's own coopers. The Tempranillo portion aged for 36 months, while the Garnacha aged for 30 months.
