A 100% Tempranillo wine from Spain's celebrated Rioja Alta region, known for its balanced, approachable, and classic style. This vintage was characterized by a warm growing cycle that resulted in high aromatic intensity and excellent phenolic ripening.
Aromas: High-intensity notes of fresh red fruits like raspberries, wild strawberries, and redcurrants, accompanied by complex balsamic scents of caramel, vanilla, toffee, and roasted coffee.
Palate: Described as long, fresh, and balanced with fine, silky tannins. The 2020 vintage is noted for being "juicy and elegant" with a creamy finish.
Winemaking: The wine was aged for two years in American oak barrels (new for the first year and four-year-old for the second) and bottled in June 2023.
It is a highly versatile food wine. It pairs exceptionally well with barbecues, rice dishes (paella), hearty pastas, and grilled meats or fish. While it is approachable now, it has the structure to develop further complexity over the next five to eight years.
