A highly acclaimed, single-varietal Chardonnay white Burgundy from the Côte Chalonnaise subregion of France. Produced by Domaine Berthenet (managed by François Berthenet and his father Jean-Pierre)
Nose: Elegant notes of citrus (lime, grapefruit) intermingled with white flowers, acacia, and honeysuckle.
Palate: A complex profile featuring orchard fruits like pear and peach, alongside nuances of hazelnut, light vanilla, and dried fruits.
Structure: Striking a precise balance between high mineral tension (crisp acidity) and a smooth, round, generous mouthfeel.
Classification: Premier Cru (1st Cru)
Vine Age: Made from an assembly of the estate’s oldest vine plots (Vieilles Vignes)
Winemaking: Aged with subtle oak wood integration to impart richness while maintaining the native terroir.
