A Chardonnay from Burgundy, France, specifically from the Sous le Chateau vineyard. This wine is crafted by the father-son duo Hubert and Laurent Lignier in honor of their son/brother Romain, who passed away in 2004. Fermentation occurs in oak barrels (20% new) with natural yeasts.
Nose: A bouquet of citrus fruits (lemon, grapefruit), floral aromas like honeysuckle, and hints of white peach and apricot.
Palate: Fresh and vibrant with a harmonious balance of lively acidity and ripe fruit flavors (pear, tropical fruits).
