A sophisticated, medium-bodied red wine from one of Piedmont's most respected traditional producers. Sourced from high-quality vineyards in Castiglione Falletto and Serralunga d'Alba (specifically the Brea MGA), this vintage is noted for being "serious" rather than just a simple, cheery table wine.
Aromas: Deep and expressive with notes of black plum, dark cherry, and crushed violets, layered with hints of licorice, savory herbs, and a distinct stony minerality.
Palate: Impressively dense yet fresh, featuring firm, fine-grained tannins and bright acidity that frame a core of blue and purplish fruit.
Finish: Long, dry, and crisp, with a classic bitter almond note typical of well-made Dolcetto.
Grapes: 100% Dolcetto from organically-farmed vines planted in 1981 and 1993.
Vinification: Fermented in concrete and stainless steel for about a week to 10 days at 29°C.
Aging: Refined in stainless steel for 7 to 9 months before being bottled unfiltered, which preserves the vibrant, punchy fruit characteristics.
