A highly-regarded single-vineyard Nebbiolo from the Serralunga d'Alba region.
Flavor Profile: Described as "generous" and "boisterous," it features intense aromas of woodland berry, new leather, violet, and spice. The palate often shows notes of Marasca cherry, crushed raspberry, and a savory finish involving iron ore and "bloody" meatiness typical of its Serralunga terroir.
The grapes come from the Brea Vigna Ca'mia, a southeast-facing one-hectare plot planted in 1955 at an altitude of 350 meters. The soil is rich in clay and limestone, which contributes to the wine's characteristic power and longevity.
Structure: It is a full-bodied wine with bright acidity and "taut but ultrarefined" tannins. Traditionalists appreciate Brovia for their long fermentations and aging in large Slavonian and French oak casks.
