Highly regarded white wine from a challenging vintage in Burgundy. Produced from old vines (average age of 45–50 years) on a 1.5-hectare plot, it is noted for its concentration and textbook Chablis minerality.
Nose: Expect a complex bouquet of orange zest, pear, and green apple, mingled with floral notes like jasmine and classic Chablis elements of iodine, oyster shell, and beeswax.
Palate: Medium to full-bodied with a satiny, "pure and racy" texture. It features a bright core of citrus fruit and a distinct chalky, saline finish.
Longevity: While some critics like William Kelley suggest it is already drinking beautifully and may favor the near-to-medium term (through 2035), others like Neal Martin and John Gilman believe it has the structure to age for 15–40 years.
