One of the world's most popular Ruby Reserve Ports, known for its reliable, fruit-forward style and great value. Created over a century ago for the Fonseca family's private consumption, it was officially released in 1972 and remains a staple for casual enjoyment and special occasions alike.
Style: Rich, full-bodied Ruby Reserve Port.
Tasting Notes: Intense aromas of blackberry, cassis, cherry, and plum with hints of spice and chocolate. On the palate, it is velvety and round with firm but smooth tannins and a long, luscious finish.
Aging: Blended from select reserve wines and aged in large oak vats for about 3–4 years to retain fresh fruit character while adding complexity.
Food Pairings: Excellent with strong-flavored hard cheeses like farmhouse Cheddar or aged Gouda, as well as blue cheeses. It also pairs perfectly with dark chocolate desserts, berry-based sweets, or even savory dishes like pumpkin pie.
