A highly regarded red Burgundy produced from organic Pinot Noir. Known for its elegance and complexity, the 2022 vintage from this specific vineyard is described by critics as a "standout" in Dujac's impressive lineup, characterized by its "nimble" and "clear" nature.
Aromatics: A complex mix of red and dark fruits (cherries, raspberries, mulberries) layered with exotic spices, graphite, woodsmoke, and floral notes like violets.
Palate: The wine offers a concentrated core of fruit supported by bright acidity and "firm tannins". It is often praised for its "silky texture" and "chalky finish"
Terroir: Sourced from a 0.72–0.73 hectare parcel on steep slopes with reddish-brown soil and limestone fragments.
Winemaking: The 2022 vintage saw a reduction in whole-cluster fermentation to approximately 85% and was aged for 15 to 18 months in oak barrels (roughly 50% new).
Aging: Typically matured for 14 to 18 months in oak barrels, with a significant proportion of new wood used to refine tannins.
