Pinot Noir from the Côte de Nuits, Burgundy. This vintage is noted for being 100% whole-cluster fermented, resulting in a wine that is powerful yet refined, with distinctive aromatic complexity. Sourced from a 1.7-acre plot in the Flagey-Échezeaux lieu-dit, characterized by reddish-brown soil with limestone and chert nodules. Jeremy Seysses utilized 100% whole clusters for this vintage. The wine was aged for approximately 18 months in French oak barrels (60–85% new) and bottled unfined and unfiltered.
Aromas: Seductive notes of smoky plums, wild berries, black cherry, and blackberry, complemented by floral hints of peonies and violets. Spicy undertones of black pepper, clove, and ground coffee are also prominent.
Palate: Full-bodied and unctuous with a succulent core of fruit. It features dense, firm tannins that provide a solid structure, though some critics note a slight "tannic edge" that will require time to resolve.
