A village-level Pinot Noir from Dominique Lafon's personal label, which he established in 2008 alongside his work at the iconic Domaine des Comtes Lafon. This vintage is characterized by its vibrant acidity and fresh fruit profile, a result of a challenging, cooler growing season in Burgundy. Cultivated using organic and biodynamic practices by the same team that manages the Comtes Lafon estate. The wine is primarily sourced from three parcels in Volnay, including the village-level section of the "Les Lurets" lieu-dit.
Aromas: Notes of orange zest, sweet red berries, raspberries, and wild cherries, often accompanied by a "stony" or ferrous mineral edge.
Palate: Medium-bodied and succulent with melting tannins and a silky texture. Critics note its "eclat" and "energetic" personality.
Finish: Features a lingering finish with hints of salinity and rusticity, making it accessible early but with the structure to age.
