A powerful, highly structured red wine from one of Provence's most iconic estates. This single-vineyard cuvée is renowned for its aging potential and is often considered the "classic soul" of the Bandol appellation.
Aromas: Intensely aromatic, featuring brooding notes of black plum, wild thyme, smoked meat, and crushed stone.
Palate: A dense, full-bodied wine with layers of dark fruit, iron-rich minerality, and garrigue (Provençal herbs).
Structure: It is characterized by firm, savory tannins and energetic acidity that leads into a long finish with hints of leather, spice, and sea breeze salinity.
Terroir: Sourced from a 5.5-hectare parcel on a windswept plateau near Castellet. The soil is deep clay-limestone with sandstone and marl, providing the water supplies Mourvèdre needs to thrive.
Blend: Typically composed of 80–85% Mourvèdre, supplemented by Grenache and Cinsault.
Winemaking: Hand-selected grapes are fermented with indigenous yeasts and aged for 18–20 months in large oak vats (foudres) before bottling.
