A powerhouse red wine from one of Provence's most legendary estates. This single-vineyard cuvée is renowned for its structure and longevity, primarily driven by a high percentage of Mourvèdre grown on a sun-drenched, clay-heavy hillside.
Nose: Complex aromas of cola, smoke, and red berries, with secondary notes of Provence herbs (garrigue), black raspberry, and mulberry.
Palate: A concentrated, almost creamy texture. Flavors include ripe blackberries, cassis, cracked pepper, and graphite.
Composition: A blend typically consisting of 80% Mourvèdre, 10% Grenache, and 10% Cinsault.
Terroir: Sourced from the 5.5-hectare "La Tourtine" parcel near Le Castellet. The site features deep clay and limestone soils and is highly exposed to both sun and wind, which favors the ripening of Mourvèdre.
Winemaking: Grapes are hand-selected, de-stemmed, and fermented in concrete vats with indigenous yeasts. The wine is then aged for 18 to 20 months in large oak foudres
