A classically styled, organic red wine from Provence, France. This vintage is noted for being "classically styled," offering more finesse and a slightly more accessible profile in its youth compared to power-heavy years.
Aromas: Intense notes of wild blackberries, violets, and dark fruits, complemented by earthy undertones, black olive, and herbs de Provence (garrigue).
Palate: Described as medium to full-bodied with "finesse and grip". It features flavors of dark plums, spice, and stony minerals, leading to a long, structured finish.
Composition: A Mourvèdre-dominant blend typically consisting of 75% Mourvèdre, 14% Grenache, 9% Cinsault, and 2% Carignan.
Aging: Aged in large oak foudres for 18 to 20 months to develop structure without overwhelming the fruit with oak flavors.
Farming: Produced using organic (practicing) and biodynamic methods from vines averaging over 40 years old.
Pairs exceptionally well with slow-roasted lamb, venison, wild mushroom ragoût, or grilled meats seasoned with Mediterranean herbs.
