A high-quality Pinot Noir from Burgundy.While Jean-Marc Roulot is legendary for his white wines, this red is highly regarded for its precision and mineral-driven character. Blended from two specific premier cru parcels: Bas des Duresses and Les Grands Champs. Grapes are fermented in open-top wooden vats for approximately 12 days. Aged for 12–15 months in French oak barrels, with a modest 15–18% new oak to preserve fruit purity.
Aromas: Features a "stern" yet floral bouquet with notes of red cherry, raspberry, and a touch of earth or forest floor.
Palate: Described as medium-bodied with supple tannins and "crunchy" red fruits. The use of whole clusters (up to 50%) adds a layer of freshness and a powdery texture to the finish.
