Highly regarded white Burgundy from one of the most prestigious producers in Meursault. This wine is often seen as a more accessible alternative to Roulot’s iconic Meursault bottlings, offering similar precision and craftsmanship at a relatively lower price point. Produced from 60-year-old vines in parcels like Les Hautés and Les Fosses, located just north of Meursault. Follows the same meticulous process as Roulot’s top crus: natural fermentation in barrels (minimal new wood) for 12 months, followed by 6 months in stainless steel to tighten the structure before bottling.
Style: While Auxey-Duresses is naturally cooler and more austere than Roulot’s Meursaults, this vintage is described as vibrant yet giving, with a dry and precise finish.
Aromas: Bright notes of lime zest, white flowers, Granny Smith apples, and wet stone, often accompanied by a hint of freshly baked bread.
Palate: Medium-bodied and satiny with an "almost painfully intense" minerality and "slicing" acidity.
