An extremely rare white Burgundy, typically made in quantities as small as two barrels per year. Unlike the majority of white wines from this region, it is primarily crafted from Pinot Blanc (specifically the "Pinot Gouges" mutation) rather than Chardonnay, though some bottlings are described as a blend of both.
Terroir: The fruit is sourced from high-slope, rocky areas with high limestone content, including sections of premier cru-classified terroirs like Damodes and Chaignots.
Aromas: According to Winemaker Notes on it displays a golden color with a bouquet of honey, brioche, and white flowers as it breathes.
Palate: Experts describe the mouthfeel as lively, firm, and ample. The importer Kermit Lynch notes a complex nose of honeydew and baking spice leading to a rich palate with a refreshing, stony, and slightly saline finish.
