A light-to-medium-bodied red wine from the Jura region of France, characterized by its fresh red fruit profile and earthy complexity. Produced by Christian and Patricia Pêcheur from century-old vines on Jurassic marl soils, this vintage follows low-intervention, organic principles. The grapes are hand-harvested and undergo spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts in stainless steel. It is aged for approximately 10 months in neutral, used demi-muid barrels (older oak) before bottling.
Expect a core of bright cherry and plum fruit, layered with notes of licorice, wild raspberry, and a "feral" gamey edge. While it has structural depth, it is known for easy drinkability and can even be served slightly chilled.
