A classic expression of Cru Beaujolais, known for its structure and aging potential. Produced by Thomas Patenôtre following the traditional methods of his predecessor Bernard Diochon, this wine is made from vines planted between 1920 and the 1960s. Made using traditional whole-cluster fermentation (80%) for about two weeks, followed by 6–8 months of aging in large oak foudres.
Aromas: Notable scents of juicy plums, dark cherries, mandarin oil, vine smoke, and sweet spices.
Palate: Medium to full-bodied with concentrated fruit balanced by ripe, "chalky" tannins and lively acidity.
Finish: It offers a sapid, textural finish with a youthful grip.
