The entry-level Sauvignon Blanc from the legendary Domaine Didier Dagueneau in Pouilly-Fumé. Formerly known as "Blanc Fumé de Pouilly," it was renamed and declassified to Vin de France (VDF) starting with the 2017 vintage after Louis-Benjamin Dagueneau (Didier’s son) chose to withdraw from the AOC appellation system.
Source: Produced from younger vines grown on a mix of silex (flint) and marl soils across various parcels.
Style: Despite being an entry-level cuvée, it is world-class, known for its intense "crushed-stone" minerality, exotic fruit notes (white grapefruit, quince, and pineapple), and a characteristic smoky finish.
