A cult-status Cabernet Franc from the Loire Valley, widely considered one of the finest expressions of the grape in the world. Sourced from a historic 2.9-hectare parcel first cultivated in 1664, it is known for a silky, elegant texture that contrasts with the more powerful and concentrated "Le Bourg" bottling.
"Les Poyeux" is celebrated for its "crystalline essence" of Cabernet Franc, offering a more airy and linear structure than other estate cuvées.
Aromas: Reviewers frequently note a complex bouquet of red and dark cherry, blackcurrant, graphite, and violet, often accompanied by "tertiary" notes like tobacco, smoky cigar, and cedar as it ages.
