The second wine of the renowned First Growth estate Château Rieussec in the Sauternes appellation of Bordeaux. This dessert wine is crafted with the same high standards as the "Grand Vin" but is designed to be more approachable and fruit-forward in its youth.
Flavor Profile: It is a full-bodied dessert wine featuring rich flavors of apricot, peach, and honeysuckle, balanced by a fresh acidity that prevents it from being overly cloying.
Aromas: The nose is delicate, with unique notes of rhubarb and white flowers alongside traditional Sauternes scents like honey and citrus zest.
Texture: Described as "light yet voluptuous," it has a smooth, buttery finish with subtle hints of Muscadelle.
Composition: A typical blend for this vintage is roughly 82% Sémillon, 16% Sauvignon Blanc, and 2% Muscadelle.
