A red wine from the Saint-Émilion Grand Cru appellation in Bordeaux, France. Managed by fourth-generation winemaker Danielle Meunier, this estate is known for its meticulous, traditional approach and unique varietal composition.
Nose: Notes of earth, leather, smoked cherries, and "enchanting" spice aromas.
Palate: A medium-bodied profile with flavors of blackberries, black pepper, and tobacco, balanced by juicy acidity and fine-grained tannins.
Finish: A long, harmonious, and "woody" finish.
A typical Blend: While the estate's vineyards are primarily Merlot (60%), the final Grand Cru cuvée for 2022 is dominated by Cabernet Franc (approximately 65%), supported by Merlot (35%) and a small amount of Cabernet Sauvignon.
Winemaking: The wine undergoes 18 months of élevage (aging) in barrels, with about 20% being new oak, and is bottled unfiltered.
