A prestigious First Growth red Bordeaux from the Pessac-Léognan appellation. Despite the extreme heat of the 2003 vintage, it is noted for its surprising freshness, elegance, and rich tannic structure.
Aromas: A complex bouquet featuring roasted herbs, black currants, plum, tobacco, cedar, and earthy truffle notes.
Palate: Medium to full-bodied with a rich, silky texture. It offers layers of ripe dark fruit (blackberry, cherry) balanced by "hot rock" mineral notes characteristic of the Haut-Brion terroir.
Finish: Known for a long, powerful, and persistent finish.
Blend: approximately 58% Merlot, 31% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 11% Cabernet Franc.
Aging: Matured for nearly 22 months in new French oak barrels.
