A crisp, dry white wine from the Graves region of Bordeaux, France. Produced by winemaker Hervé Dubourdieu, it is widely regarded as one of the best-value white Bordeaux wines on the market.
Style: Fresh, flinty, and mineral-driven with a medium body.
Aromas: Notes of lemon zest, peach, melon, honeysuckle, and fresh-cut grass.
Palate: Flavors of citrus, green apple, and tropical fruits (like lychee) balanced by a saline energy and a clean, refreshing finish.
Texture: The high Sémillon content provides a subtle waxy, rich texture that complements the zippy acidity of the Sauvignon Blanc.
Blend: Typically composed of 60% Sémillon, 35% Sauvignon Blanc, and 5% Muscadelle. (Note: Some retailers report slightly different ratios, such as 75% Sémillon).
Vineyards: Sourced from 35- to 50-year-old vines grown on clay and limestone soils on fissured rock.
