An opulent, Cabernet-dominant Second Growth Bordeaux widely regarded as one of the standout wines of the vintage. Composed of 95% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Merlot, it was aged in 100% new oak barrels, resulting in a wine of immense power, depth, and structural longevity.
Aromatics: Deep and provocative scents of chocolate-covered cherries, fresh black currants, and crème de cassis, layered with complex notes of graphite, lead pencil, licorice, and floral hints of violets and roses.
Palate: Full-bodied and rich with "seductive layers" and a "stacked mid-palate". It features velvety, fine-grained tannins and a long, multi-layered finish.
Texture: Often described as having an "unctuous" yet fresh feel, balanced by a firm, racy tannic structure that ensures stability during aging.
