A highly-rated, single-parcel red wine made almost exclusively from Grenache. Sourced from a vineyard with vines dating back to 1870, it is considered one of the estate's most refined and "Burgundian" expressions, known for its longevity and intense aromatic profile.
Aromas: Complex layers of black cherry, blackberry, violets, and rose petals, often accompanied by savory notes like asphalt, black tea, cigar box, and exotic spices.
Palate: Full-bodied and unctuously textured with "insane levels of concentration". It features chalky tannins and a long, salty finish with hints of licorice and smoke.
Vineyard: A 1.8-hectare parcel ("Le Claux") of old-vine Grenache (field blend) planted on Miocene limestone marl.
Vinification: Fermented using whole clusters and aged for 12 months in a mix of new (20%), one-year, and two-year-old barrels before being bottled unfiltered.
