An excellent, classic Right Bank Bordeaux red wine crafted primarily from Merlot (75%) and Cabernet Franc (25%). Produced by the Bouyer family of Domaines Bouyer, this vintage benefits from an outstanding, highly rated growing year in Saint-Émilion.
Nose: Plush and lifted, blending intense red fruits and black cherry with savory undertones of fresh mint, cedar, and aged leather.
Palate: Medium-to-full-bodied with a fresh, juicy, and rounded mouthfeel. The palate is centered around polished dark fruits, plum compote, and subtle baking chocolate.
Finish: Supported by mouth-coating, velvety, yet firm tannins that leave a slightly chalky and lingering finish.
Decanting: Recommended to decant for 1 hour before serving to let the aromas expand.
Terroir: Walled vineyard plots near the historic church, sharing a similar clay, gravel, and limestone soil structure to the famed Château Cheval Blanc.
Winemaking: Vinified in concrete tanks and aged for 12–15 months in French oak barrels (approximately 40–50% new oak).
Food Pairings: Pairs excellently with hearty red meats, game meats like venison, grilled steak, or a well-curated charcuterie and cheese board.
