Widely considered an exceptional vintage for this prestigious Pomerol estate, earning near-perfect critical acclaim for its power, structure, and aromatic complexity. It is a blend typically dominated by 90% Merlot, complemented by 9% Cabernet Sauvignon and 1% Cabernet Franc.
Nose: Intensely fragrant with notes of crushed black cherries, warm raspberries, blackberry preserves, and floral hints of violets and rose petals. It also features complex nuances of licorice, star anise, mocha, and tilled soil.
Palate: Medium to full-bodied with a sensuous, velvety texture. It delivers layers of juicy black fruits balanced by very firm, silky tannins and a "vibrating" energy.
